ABOUT US

Meet Wade Snow

From the corporate headquarters of Apple to the transformation of New York City’s Penn State, Wade Snow knows what it’s like to manage and design multimillion dollar projects.

But just as rewarding — building, remodeling, repairing and personalizing homes, businesses and projects of every size and scope for families and companies in his hometown and the surrounding region. Returning to his roots in Gloucester, where Wade grew up working with his hands alongside his grandfather, father and uncle, inspired him to start River Birch Construction in August 2021.

Opening a business in Gloucester allows Wade to be home every night for his family — wife Erin, their daughter, Layla, and son Connor, the recipient of Wade’s kidney in September 2021.

It also allows him to partner with families and businesses in support of their construction needs, whether they be as small as finishing off a treehouse to building a customized home.

“I like working with families who want to build their forever home and making sure they get what they want,” Wade says. “It’s important to me to be trustworthy, honest and to deliver what I promised in a timely manner.”

The Snows are members of Petworth Baptist Church, and Wade is a firefighter and board member for Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue.

Meet Erin Snow

Sipping coffee on the porch of the family’s Bena home, Erin Snow fixed her gaze on the recently planted River Birch trees in the front yard. The seedlings from the fast-growing shade tree that thrives along riverbanks prompted this thought.

Why don’t we call the new business River Birch Construction?

The name stuck. “We’re planting roots in our community by starting a family business here,” Erin says. “We have a family here. We have a home here. Starting our business represents the final piece.”

Erin keeps clients updated on their projects, communicating regularly with them while handling all the administrative tasks associated with River Birch Construction. She’s also its creative voice, able to envision those special touches that distinguish a project, noting, “I see things and Wade can create them.”

Like her husband, Erin is eager to give back to the community where she grew up and passionate about their faith, the cornerstone that guides them in all that they do.
